My name is Destiny Kirk, and I’m the founder of Yellow Hat. From a young age, I’ve nurtured a dream of creating something impactful, and my passion for helping small businesses reach their full potential became the driving force behind that dream. Earning my degree in Advertising Design gave me the foundation I needed, but my heart was set on using those skills in a way that truly helped others.
I spent the early part of my career building my expertise in various firms, gaining valuable insights and experience. Yet, I always knew I wanted to create something of my own—something that would directly support entrepreneurs and small business owners. So, in August 2020, amidst the challenges of a global pandemic, I took a leap of faith and launched Yellow Hat.
The name “Yellow Hat” has a special meaning to me. There was a pivotal moment when, feeling a need for encouragement, I spotted a yellow hat in a shop window. Although my budget was tight, I decided to buy it, and wearing it gave me a new sense of confidence and assurance. That feeling is what I want Yellow Hat to bring to every business owner we work with—a sense of support, optimism, and the courage to pursue their dreams. My goal is to stand beside fellow entrepreneurs, offering them the confidence and guidance they need as they grow their businesses.
